Have a Blessed Christmas

While riding in my car, I heard a song by Casting Crowns entitled: "Make Room in Your Heart." It simply but beautifully, reminded me that with all that is going on around us this year, many of us have struggled to make room for Jesus in our hearts. Many have relegated Him to the stable and not to our hearts.   For me, its not that I don't want to, but being temporarily incapacitated and the thought of moving this spring, missing our families and friends in Kentucky, and dealing with the usual Christmas depression, my 'Inn' (that is, my heart) has been filled with a crowd of emotions that has left little space for Jesus.  So, I have consciously made space in my heart for Him, I'm making the journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem but will not crowd Jesus out of my life.

I know this blog is short but it coincides with those of you who are very busy this time of year.  So, I won't pontificate on Christmas, though I wish I had the skill of a DaySpring card writer, but do not.  So I'll just express what God expressed to all of us. In essence He said and says today:

'I, the Lord of Heaven's Army, love you, My creation, and I am                              here to let my Son express that to you.'

Welcome to our hearts, O God. My prayer is that of respected theologian who once said:

"My prayer and hope for every single one of you and for your families is that you will have a glorious Christ-honoring Christmas filled with the joy of the gospel and directed to the glory of God."

Grace, Peace, and Love,

Quentin
